At 77 years old, the New Orleans native brings a wealth of life experience to his writing. His career includes stints in the petroleum industry and telecommunications; he retired from BellSouth as assistant to the president of Louisiana in 2000. Bonis pursued his Ph.D. in human performance and health promotion from the after retirement. He currently teaches exercise science and graduate statistics courses at .
Bonis’ previous works include “The Fat Old Man’s Guide to Health and Fitness” and “City of Grasshoppers.”
